Nanuchka Vegan Georgian restaurant – ננוצ’קה מסעדה גרוזינית טבעונית

Nanuchka is a VEGAN Georgian restaurant, it’s probably the only one in Tel Aviv. At Nanuchka there are varied Georgian cuisine dishes, for example, Khinkali dumplings or pastry Khachapuri stuffed with goodies. This is one of the favorite restaurants for our family (mostly the vegan), we tend to eat there for birthdays, and sometimes only my wife and I go for a romantic dinner. The place is decorated a bit like a Georgian living room with dim lighting which adds a lot to the atmosphere. Some unique pictures are hung on the walls with a twist for food products from the kitchen. There is also a backyard and a lively pub which sometimes host concerts at the evenings (see calendar for performances on their website). The restaurant has worked for many years as a non-vegan restaurant with meat and dairy like most Georgian restaurants. But a few years ago, when Nina, the owner became a vegan, she decided to add some vegan dishes for “vegan Monday”. then some of the servings enter the daily menu, but very soon she decided to make the menu and restaurant totally vegan. After standing under the veteran carnivores customers pressure, today Nanuchka is a successful restaurant, no less than it was during its precursors. with customers from a diverse culinary spectrum. After a long time of wishing to visit this restaurant again, my father got a gift card from a client of 400 NIS to Nanuchka. So he and my mom invited us all for Friday dinner.

For starters we shared 3 serving:


Pahaly: A large plate of Georgian antipasti. Seven wonderful healthy salads (Eggplant rolls with walnuts, Mangold Pahaly, Herbs Pahaly, Stuffed grape leaves, and more). it is a very good start for everyone to taste the Georgian flavors.

The next 2 dish was a special for the day and doesn’t exist on the menu, but they were both so good and very special 🙂


The first were a Stuffed cabbage leaves, it was so Soft and melts in your mouth due to the long cooking. so much little flavors in one bite.


The second was Zucchini rolls with I think cashew-cheese on a bit spicy tomato sauce. with toasts on the side.

Then we ordered 5 main courses one for each:


My father took the Hamburger:
shiitake, portobello and forest mushrooms, tempeh, lentils, and onions. Served classically on a roll with vegetables and Potatoes on the side.
The burger was very well made and was even Reddish.


My mom asked for artichokey
fried Artichokes patties with Panko coating, topped with fennel cream treat served on cherry tomato chutney.


My sister ordered Catletty:
Tofu and herbs cutlets served on the traditional chraimeh sauce (traditionally it’s a fish dish). accompanied by a sweet bread (she ordered with rice instead)


My wife wanted Georgian Love Balls:
Seitan, mushrooms, and soy sauce cutlets,  in spicy tomato sauce, eggplant and root vegetables. Served with seasoned rice dish.


And I ordered Hinkali mushrooms and truffles:
six boiled dumplings filled mushrooms on a truffle dip, served with garlic-dill yogurt.

After that, we were all pretty full, but We decided not to deny us the pleasure of the Desserts. ordered 2 got 3 (1 from the kind waiter).


Dorado Chocolate treat:
four layers: hazelnut, dark chocolate mousse, chocolate ganache and almond cream


Halva parfait:
halvah Cream, resting on nougat base. decorated with sesame and Sedan.


Malabi:
Kind of creamy pudding, (similar to blancmange) topped with walnuts, Flavorings rose water syrup.

ננוצ’קה היא מסעדה גרוזינית טבעונית וכנראה היחידה בתל אביב.

בננוצ’קה ישנם מטעמים מהמטבח הגרוזיני, למשל כיסוני חינקאלי, או מאפה חצ’פורי ממולא בכל טוב.
זו אחת המסעדות האהובות על כל המשפחה (בעיקר הטבעונים) אנו נוהגים להגיע לשם לחגיגות של המשפחה, ולפעמים גם רק אני ואישתי לארוחה רומנטית.
המקום מעוצב קצת כמו סלון גרוזיני עם תאורה עמומה מה שמוסיף המון לאווירה. על הקיר תלויות יצורות אומנות ייחודיות למקום עם קריצה לפרודוקטים מהמטבח.
במקום יש גם חצר אחורית וגם סוג של פאב תוסס ולפעמים יש שם הופעות בערבים (ניתן לראות לוח שנה עם ההופעות באתר שלהם).
המסעדה עבדה שנים רבות כמסעדה בשרית כמו רוב המסעדות הגרוזיניות. אך לפני מספר שנים, כאשר הבעלים נינה הפכה לטבעונית, היא החליטה להוסיף כמה מנות טבעוניות. ואז החליטה להפוך את כל התפריט והמסעדה לטבעונית. לאחר שעמדה מול הביקורת של לקוחותיה הקרניבורים, היום ננוצ’קה היא מסעדה מצליחה לא פחות משהייתה בתקופת הבשריות שלה. ולקוחותיה מגוונים מכל הקשת הקולינרית.
